The Rhino EQ-300-85 is an upgraded model of our original EQ-300. This model is specifically designed for our customers with well water issues and special water filtration needs. The upgraded media in the EQ-300-85 is designed to remove large amounts of Iron and Hydrogen Sulfide. Iron and Hydrogen Sulfide are common in well water and are responsible for discoloration and rotten egg smell. KDF-85 is the upgraded media that we use to treat well water issues.

KDF 55 Medium, which is used in our standard EQ-300 is specifically designed for removing or reducing chlorine and heavy metals that are water-soluble. It also controls scale build up, bacteria and algae. It works in both hot and cold temperature water.

KDF 85 Medium, which is used in our upgraded EQ-300-85 is designed to additionally remove or reduce iron and hydrogen sulfide from well water sources, as well as from municipal supplies. Also helps control scale build up, and eliminates bacteria and algae from the water.

Here is how our multi-stage filtration system works:

Pre-filter: First the sediment prefilter removes all of the turbidity and larger particulates from your incoming well water, removing sand, dirt, and rust up top 5 microns in size.

Stage 1 Filters out heavy metals, like Mercury, Nickel, and Lead. The patented zinc/copper mineral media KDF-85 removes the Sulfur and Iron as well.

Stage 2 Uses a Bituminous Carbon media, high grade Coconut Shell Carbon, and Catalytic Carbon to remove synthetic chemicals such as VOC's, SOC's,THM's, and MTBE.

Stage 3 Enhances taste, clarity and cleanliness with catalytic carbon giving you the best tasting, most refreshing water on the planet.
